Laundry Pay Troubleshooting Guide

Trouble Shooting Procedures (on iPhone)

1. Confirm the latest version of LaundryPay is installed (on iPhone)

a. On an iPhone, open the App Store app. Search for LaundryPay. Choose LaundryPay from the search results. If there is an update available, it will say “Update” in a blue oval. Tap this oval to update to the latest version.

b. Once the update is complete, try using LaundryPay again.

2. Check that Wi-Fi is enabled, manually connect to the store’s wifi and confirm the phone is connected.

3. Check correct rights granted for LaundryPay on phone.

a. Go to settings on the iphone

b. Pull down slightly to reveal the search box and type LaundryPay or scroll down until you find the LaundryPay settings option.

c. Then check to make sure that these three rights (Camera, Location and Local Network) have been turned on. 

The app will never work unless all three are granted.

d. If you needed to make any changes on the above screen, restart the app and it should connect just fine.

4. Force quit LaundryPay app (on iPhone)

5. Restart phone

6. Delete and re-install LaundryPay (make sure you know your login email and password!)

Trouble Shooting Procedures (on Android)

1. Confirm the latest version of LaundryPay is installed (on Android)

a. From an Android phone, visit the Play Store. Search for LaundryPay. Choose LaundryPay from the search results. If there is an update available, it will say “Update.” Tap the word update to update LaundryPay to the latest version. 2. Once the update is complete, try using LaundryPay again. This is likely to resolve the customer’s issue.

2. Force stop LaundryPay app (on Android)

a. Open Settings. 2. Scroll down until Apps is located. Tap Apps to select it. 3. Scroll down until LaundryPay is located. Tap LaundryPay to select it. 4. Tap the FORCE STOP or STOP button. 5. Tap OK to confirm. This forces LaundryPay to quit and halts background processes.

3. Note: An entry for LaundryPay may still appear in the Recent Apps menu after Force Stop has been selected. This is perfectly normal and still counts as force stopping LaundryPay.

4. Delete and re-install LaundryPay (on Android)
